Franz Ferdinand Sarajevo assassination is one of the most remarkable episodes in the city’s and the world’s history.

Join us on a tour during which we will unveil the reasons for the beginning of WWI, the political climate in Europe, and the world before the tragic event that took place on 28th June 1914, which shook the masses and changed the course of the world’s history.

Learn more about the Austro-Hungarian influence in Bosnia and Herzegovina and find out what happened with the conspirators, the members of Young Bosnia, who plotted against Archduke Franz Ferdinand.

Sarajevo Museum 1878 – 1918 – The Museum of Sarajevo 1878-1918 is an annex of the Museum of Sarajevo, and its permanent exhibit shows Sarajevo during the time of Austro-Hungarian rule (1878-1918). We will end our tour at this stop and take a closer look at the exhibition at the Franz Ferdinand Museum Sarajevo.
