Great tour Great guide Very educational Absolut recommendable!
Our guide was an ex police officer who personally used the tunnel and got shot during the war. He had a fascinating insight into life during the siege. He was patient with us as we took our time to read as much as possible, answered all our questions and made sure everyone understood everything perfectly. Transport was comfy. Meeting point was easy to get to – it’s the building opposite the Sarajevo museum. The tour itself was interesting and heartbreak at the same time. Understanding what went on is so important, having such personal insight added another layer to our understanding of events. This is the most in depth explanation we’ve had so far. This tour is the missing piece if you’ve done all the other museums in Sarajevo and Mostar. If you have a few gaps go on this tour! Being in the house and the tunnel really brings what you’ve learned to life.
The tour was awesome, even with all the tragedy. Having a local guide who explains and helps you understand the reasons for the conflict and the pain experienced is essential, and ours was precise and essential to understand the reason for the tunnel.
