Sarajevo hosted the XIV Winter Olympic Games in 1984, marking Yugoslavia as the first socialist, non-aligned country to organize such an event. This historic event is often described as the last hope to keep Yugoslavia united.
Let’s experience the Olympic journey through the Sarajevo 1984 Winter Olympics. On the tour, we visit the Zetra sports hall, stadium, and the Olympic Museum. Later, we discover three breathtaking mountains around the city, featuring the ski installations used during the Winter Olympic Games in Sarajevo.
Although these sites were destroyed during the last war, they still bear witness to an important episode in the history of the Sarajevo Winter Olympics.
